Iran Press/ Iran news: The export value of knowledge-based companies has skyrocketed from $295 million to an impressive $2.51 billion in just three years, showcasing the remarkable growth and potential of Iran’s technology sector.
Vice President Dehghani highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting science and technology, with a particular focus on developing a knowledge-based economy. Under President Raisi’s administration, key institutions such as the Science Foundation and the International Interactions Organization have been established, along with the National Organization of Artificial Intelligence, signaling significant progress in technological advancements.
Iran now boasts over 10,000 knowledge-based companies and 2,000 creative firms, a 70% increase from previous years. The workforce in these companies has also grown substantially, with 390 thousand employees currently compared to 212 thousand three years ago.
Furthermore, Dehghani announced a significant surge in sales for knowledge-based companies, with revenues jumping from 224 trillion Toman to 610 trillion Toman during the 13th government’s tenure, indicating the sector’s rapid expansion.
With these impressive developments, Iran’s technology sector is poised for further growth and innovation in the years to come.
