Iran Plans Two Major Satellite Launches Soon – Iran News Daily

TEHRAN, Iran Salariyeh recently announced that satellite launches are scheduled to take place before July 21, following successful compatibility tests between the satellites and launch rockets. These tests ensure a 100% success rate before proceeding with the launches. Iran’s Minister of Communications, Issa Zarepour, highlighted the advancements in the nation’s space and communication sectors, with plans for two more satellite launches by the end of the current administration.

Despite Western pressure and sanctions, Iran has successfully launched multiple satellites in recent years, emphasizing peaceful technological advancement in aerospace. The satellites serve various scientific and development purposes in the country. Notably, in January, Iran launched three satellites simultaneously using a modern satellite carrier. The ISA-built Mahda satellite was unveiled during the launches.

In February, an Iranian satellite was successfully placed into a 500-kilometer orbit for the first time. The Pars 1 research-sensing satellite was launched from Russia’s Vostochny spaceport using the Soyuz rocket, showcasing Iran’s progress in space technology and exploration.
