Far-right leader Bardella declares party ‘prepared’ for governance

French far-right leader Jordan Bardella is prepared to lead his party in the upcoming election, emphasizing immigration control and addressing cost-of-living concerns. The 28-year-old president of the Rassemblement National (RN) stated that the party is ready to govern as he outlined their policy platform.

Bardella aims to secure an outright majority to implement an anti-immigration and law-and-order program, criticizing Macron’s leadership as weakening France. He plans to tighten borders, simplify deportation of foreigners convicted of crimes, and tackle inflation by reducing energy taxes.

Furthermore, Bardella proposed disciplinary measures in schools, endorsed realistic approaches to curbing inflation, and highlighted the party’s foreign policy stance. The RN opposes sending troops into Ukraine and pledges vigilance against foreign interference.

With the election shaping up to be a contest between RN and the leftist Nouveau Front Populaire (NFP), Bardella positions his party as the patriotic choice against alleged anti-Semitism in his opponents’ ranks.
