Polish MPs Push for Stricter Border Controls Amid Criticism of Government’s Response

Polish MPs have voiced their concerns over the government’s handling of border security, calling for stricter measures and accountability from the Ministry of the Interior.

Minister of National Defense, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, criticized the government for allowing activists to operate in the buffer zone at the Belarusian border, urging stronger actions to prevent illegal human trafficking. MPs are set to question Minister Tomasz Siemoniak on the involvement of activists and the government’s response.

Chairman of PiS, Mariusz Błaszczak, called for immediate action, including the use of anti-personnel mines, to address the crisis. He criticized the previous government for not protecting Polish interests and urged for accountability from Germany over migrant transfers. PiS MP Paweł Jabłoński highlighted the lack of communication within the government and questioned the facilitation of illegal activities by Polish authorities.

The MPs are demanding an inquiry into the influx of migrants crossing Polish borders illegally, accusing the Ministry of the Interior of compromising national security. Their push for stricter controls and transparency reflects the growing concerns over border security in Poland.
