Cosatu, South Africa’s biggest labour federation, urged President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint Cabinet members who prioritize workers’ interests. The organization expressed discontent for not being consulted on the government of national unity’s composition three weeks after the DA’s initial signing of the statement of intent.

Following a post central executive committee meeting, Cosatu’s general secretary, Solly Phetoe, emphasized the organization’s opposition to the DA’s neo-liberal policies. As South Africans strive for a prosperous future, staying informed is crucial. For 25 years, News24 has been a trusted source of information, and a new era of fearless journalism is on the horizon.
