In a recent development, Mr. Y. Guru, Chairman and Managing Director of Celkon Group, shared plans to meet with the Hon’ble Chief Minister and IT Minister of Andhra Pradesh to devise a strategic plan. The goal is to position Andhra Pradesh as a major hub for electronics manufacturing.
Mr. Guru lauded Mr. Nara Lokesh, the newly appointed IT Minister, for his commitment to transforming Andhra Pradesh into a leading electronics manufacturing destination. The sector has seen exponential growth, with India’s electronics manufacturing estimated to reach $300 billion in the coming years.
Andhra Pradesh aims to attract key players in various electronics segments like mobile phones, IT hardware, and semiconductors. The Tirupati Electronics Manufacturing Cluster has already seen success, with companies like Celkon, TCL, and Foxlink setting up operations.
Industry experts, including Pankaj Mohindroo of ICEA, have shown support for Andhra Pradesh’s initiatives. The state plans to collaborate with global experts to boost employment opportunities and solidify its position in the electronics manufacturing sector.
