The largest anti-government protest in Israel

Over 150,000 protesters gathered in Tel Aviv demanding the dismissal of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Families of Israeli captives in Gaza stated that no swap deal would be made without Netanyahu’s removal. Former Shin Bet head Yuval Diskin called Netanyahu the worst prime minister, urging protests for a government change.

Elections and Protests

Anti-government organization, Hofshi Israel, organized the rally, with thousands demanding elections now. Former Defense Minister Benny Gantz joined protests for a hostage swap. A poll showed Gantz as the preferred prime minister. Tensions rose as mounted police clashed with protesters.

Ongoing Conflict

The conflict in Gaza, ongoing since October, has led to thousands of deaths and displacements. Palestinian and international organizations highlight the impact on women and children, with severe famine reported. The situation remains critical, with ongoing violence and displacement.
