Russian troops have intensified attacks on Kharkiv Oblast in Ukraine, using 35 glide bombs and missiles in the past 24 hours, according to Nazar Voloshyn, the spokesperson for the Khortytsia group of forces. The attacks have resulted in the destruction of energy infrastructure and civilian casualties in Kharkiv, the country’s second-largest city.

Voloshyn reported that Russian troops conducted 20 airstrikes using 35 glide bombs and one missile strike in Kharkiv Oblast, with the village of Lyptsi bearing the brunt of the attacks. The Khortytsia group of forces also posted on Telegram about additional bombings from the direction of Belgorod.

Earlier incidents on June 22 saw Russian forces attacking Kharkiv with glide bombs, causing fatalities and injuries. The use of glide bombs has been a key strategy for Russia in gaining ground in Ukraine, creating significant damage to military positions and settlements.
