The Oyo State Chapter of the Medical and Health Workers’ Union of Nigeria has announced a seven-day warning strike starting on Monday, June 24, 2024. This decision was made to further push the union’s demands, as stated by the union President, John Fabunmi, in a notification letter sent to members across all health institutions, ministries, departments, and local government areas.
Despite previous reminders to the State Government regarding their grievances, no action has been taken to address the situation. As a result, the union has decided to proceed with the warning strike to draw attention to their demands.
All members are called upon to participate in the strike, which will begin at 12:01 am on Monday, June 24, 2024. Further actions may be taken if necessary to address the issues raised by the union.
