New Vande Metro Circle Train Introduced in MP to Boost Urban Transportation

The Vande Metro Circle Train, set to run between Indore and Ujjain, will enhance urban transportation in Madhya Pradesh, particularly for the upcoming Simhastha Kumbh Mela in 2028.

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired a meeting where the decision to lay down metro tracks between the two cities was made, focusing on improving traffic management.

The state government plans to implement a new traffic plan for major cities, initiating with the operation of a metro train between Indore and Ujjain.

Yadav emphasized the importance of the metro service for the convenience of devotees during Simhastha 2028 and highlighted the completion of a feasibility survey.

Further expansions include launching a Vande Metro service from Indore airport to Mahakal temple in Ujjain, catering to locals, tourists, and devotees.

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has approved the introduction of the Vande Metro Circle Train in various cities across Madhya Pradesh, offering a modern and integrated urban transportation solution.

For industrial areas like Pithampur and Dewas, the advanced technology and operational speed of Vande Metro trains provide additional benefits, complementing the existing metro projects in the state.

With plans to repurpose existing railway lines in cities, Yadav stressed the need for comprehensive studies to effectively utilize the rail infrastructure. The state government aims to complete the Bhopal and Indore metro projects by 2027.
