Israeli Protests Demand Hostage Swap Deal
Thousands of Israelis took to the streets in Tel Aviv, Caesarea, and Jerusalem to demand a hostage swap deal with Palestinian factions in Gaza. The protests aimed to pressure the government for immediate action.
In Tel Aviv, demonstrators gathered at Kidnapped Soldiers’ Square, calling for an early election and a swap deal. The protest, reported as the largest since October, highlighted the public’s urgency for resolution.
Similar rallies were held in Jerusalem and Caesarea, where protestors marched to Netanyahu’s residence and called for his resignation. Former Defense Minister Benny Gantz also joined the demonstrations to push for a hostage swap.
Despite international condemnation, Israel continues its offensive in Gaza, resulting in thousands of casualties. The situation has raised concerns of genocide, leading to calls for immediate action from the international community and the International Court of Justice.
