Man Arrested in Ahmedabad for Threatening to Kill Rajasthan MLA
Police in Ahmedabad have apprehended a man who made a threat on social media to kill Rajasthan MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati. Kishanlal Jat, a resident of Balotra district in Rajasthan, was arrested near the railway station with a pistol and nine cartridges he intended to use against the legislator.
Jat, wanted by the Gida police in Rajasthan for various charges, had posted a threatening video on Instagram and had purchased the weapon and ammunition from Madhya Pradesh. He had even tested the pistol by firing a round and hidden it under his motorcycle seat.
The Ahmedabad crime branch is coordinating with Rajasthan police to transfer Jat to face charges in his home state. The swift action by authorities prevented a potential tragedy and ensured that the suspect is brought to justice.
