Bangladeshis in Tehran Celebrate 53rd Independence Day – Iran News Daily

Bangladeshis in Tehran recently celebrated the 53rd Independence and National Day at an event hosted by Bangladesh Ambassador H.E. Manjurul Karim Khan Chowdhury and his wife Farzana Nasrin. Special guests, including Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the Head of Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization, were present to mark the occasion.

The event had been postponed to June 22 due to the Holy Month of Ramadhan, New Year holiday in Tehran, and the recent shocking martyrdom of Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi. Ambassador Chowdhury highlighted Bangladesh’s progress over the last 53 years, emphasizing economic growth, advancements in various sectors, and challenges overcome.

He also praised the enduring friendship between Iran and Bangladesh, emphasizing the potential for further cooperation. Iran’s Deputy Minister of Industry, Mr. Zeighami, congratulated the ambassador and spoke of deepening ties and opportunities for collaboration in trade and science between the two countries.

The event concluded with the cutting of a special cake by the ambassador and distinguished guests, symbolizing the celebration of shared values and mutual respect.
