Tech giant Amazon has announced plans to invest an additional €10 billion ($10.7 billion) in Germany, with €8.8 billion going towards expanding its cloud computing subsidiary, Amazon Web Services, in the Frankfurt area. The remaining funds will be used for logistics, robotics, and two new corporate offices. Amazon aims to increase its German workforce to 40,000 permanent employees by the year’s end, up from 36,000 in 2023.
