The Yemeni Armed Forces recently carried out two operations against a commercial vessel and the US aircraft carrier Eisenhower in support of Palestinians in Gaza and in response to US and British airstrikes on Yemen. Spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced the attacks in a video statement.
The forces targeted the Transworld Navigator bulk carrier in the Arabian Sea with ballistic missiles for violating the Yemeni armed forces’ embargo on Israel. Additionally, the Eisenhower in the Red Sea was attacked with ballistic and cruise missiles, successfully achieving their objectives.
Saree stated that Yemeni naval units will continue striking in solidarity with Palestinians until the blockade on Gaza is lifted. Their attacks come in response to Israeli offensives, with nearly 37,600 casualties in Gaza since October, causing disruptions to maritime trade routes.
Leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi emphasized the honor in confronting America directly. The Yemeni Armed Forces remain resolute in their attacks until the Israeli aggression on Gaza ends.
