Walking in the Light: A Journey of Faith

Walking in the Light: A Journey of Faith

Are you walking in the light or dwelling in darkness? As a child of God, it is important to be noticeably different from those who choose the path of darkness. Eliza Hewitt’s timeless song “Stepping In The Light” reminds us of the beauty of walking in the steps of the Saviour, led in paths of light. A true child of God shuns the unfruitful deeds of darkness, symbolising sin and its consequences.

Paul, in his letters to the Ephesians, Romans, and Corinthians, outlines the unfruitful works of darkness to avoid, including sexual sin, greed, idolatry, and more. As believers, we are called to put on the armor of light and walk in righteousness, cleansing ourselves from anything that defiles our body or spirit.

Walking in the light means shining as a beacon of God’s glory to all nations, living out the gospel in our daily lives. By exposing the unfruitful works of darkness and refusing to partake in sin, we can make a difference in the world around us.

Let us pray to shine as lights in a dark world and live out the gospel in all we do. Together, we can be the light that leads others out of darkness.

Today’s nugget: Live the Gospel. Prayer: Lord, help me shine as light. Contact us for more information: 08033299824, amadiabelukachi@gmail.com, Rev. (Dr.) Abel Ukachi Amadi, General Superintendent, Assemblies of God Nigeria.
