Russian airstrikes ongoing on Ukrainian energy targets

Article content

Russia launched a new barrage of missiles and drones in an overnight attack on Ukraine, damaging energy facilities and injuring workers. The Ukrainian air force intercepted most of the missiles and drones fired by Russia, but some damage was still done to energy facilities in the Zaporizhzhia and Lviv regions.

With both sides targeting infrastructure, the war in Ukraine, now in its third year, continues to escalate. Ukraine is facing rolling blackouts due to attacks on its power generation capacity, while casualties mount on both sides. Russian air defense systems also destroyed drones over the Sea of Azov and western Russian regions.

The situation remains tense along the front line, with no major changes reported. The conflict has spilled over into southern Russia with Ukrainian strikes on oil refineries. The conflict shows no signs of abating, with both sides continuing to target each other’s critical infrastructure.
