Iran’s Minister of Petroleum, Javad Owji, announced significant achievements in the oil industry under the late President Ebrahim Raisi’s administration. The administration has increased oil production to 3.6 million barrels per day and aims to reach 4 million barrels by March 2025. Gas production also saw a 5% growth, with plans to boost output further.

The minister highlighted increased extraction from the South Pars gas field, leading to higher gas production compared to Qatar’s share. Iran’s annual petrochemical production has reached 100 million metric tons after a 10% growth, with four new petrochemical projects in the pipeline.

Owji, along with Government Spokesman Ali Bahadori Jahromi and Head of the Department of the Environment Ali Salajegheh, shared these achievements at a joint press conference. The developments showcase Iran’s commitment to enhancing its energy sector and contributing significantly to global oil and gas markets.
