ANCWL urges for increased female representation in Ramaphosa’s cabinet

ANC Women’s League secretary-general, Nokuthula Nqaba, is calling on President Cyril Ramaphosa to appoint more women in his cabinet. She expressed disappointment over the lack of women in premier positions following the recent elections of provincial premiers. Only two women were elected as premiers for the seventh administration.

Nqaba emphasized the importance of gender representation in government and urged the ANC to prioritize women from all political parties in the cabinet. She believes that women’s voices should be heard across the political spectrum to create a more inclusive and diverse government.

As Ramaphosa prepares to announce his cabinet, Nqaba is hopeful for increased female representation. She wants to see more women influencing the government of national unity, not just from the ANC, but from all parties involved in governance.
