Saudi Arabia has set the operational guidelines for the upcoming 2025 Hajj exercise, just 48 hours after completing the 2024 rites. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah disclosed that the 2025 Hajj will begin on September 1, 2024 and end when pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom on April 29, 2025.
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) shared the 2025 plan during a post-Arafah stakeholders meeting. The guidelines include the opening of an e-tracker for service payment in September, ending service provider engagement in October, and issuing visas from February to April 2025.
NAHCON’s chairman emphasized improved service delivery to pilgrims and requested forgiveness for any past shortcomings. The Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs commended NAHCON’s performance and pledged to enhance pilgrims’ welfare in Saudi Arabia through legislation.
The return flight from Nigeria will start with Flynas Airline, and strict baggage policies are in place to ensure smooth operations for the pilgrims.
