Qatari Prime Minister Stresses Consultations with Iran for Regional Stability

In a recent meeting with Caretaker Foreign Minister of Iran Ali Baqeri in Doha, Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani emphasized the importance of ongoing consultations with Iran to ensure regional stability and security. The two leaders discussed the growing political and economic relations between Qatar and Iran, with Baqeri praising the strong ties between the two nations.

During the meeting, the Qatari premier also paid tribute to the late Iranian president and foreign minister, highlighting their contributions to enhancing Doha-Tehran relations and supporting Palestine. Baqeri reiterated Iran’s commitment to good neighborliness and emphasized the need for regional cooperation to address the crisis in Gaza, where thousands have been killed and injured in Israel’s recent attacks.

As the region faces ongoing challenges, continued dialogue and collaboration between Qatar and Iran are crucial for promoting peace and security. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of both countries to addressing regional issues and supporting the rights of oppressed populations.

At least 37,396 people have been killed and 85,523 injured in Israel’s war on Gaza since October 7, 2023.
