KRONSTADT (Sputnik) – The first batch of Russian-Indian cruise missiles BrahMos have been delivered to the Philippines, as confirmed by co-director of the BrahMos Aerospace missile maker, Alexander Maksichev. The Philippines’ military leadership expressed gratitude for the timely fulfillment of the contract, which included missile delivery and personnel training.
The Russian-Indian joint venture signed a $375 million deal with the Defense Ministry to equip three regiments with BrahMos missiles. Indian co-director Atul Rane mentioned plans for the Philippines to place another order in the future.
