Man arrested for murder of two brothers in Adamawa over farmland

One Mali Emmanuel has been arrested for allegedly killing two brothers in Adamawa State following a dispute over farmland. The spokesperson for the Adamawa State Police Command, Suleiman Nguroje, confirmed the incident. The victims were identified as Emmanuel Hamma Shehu and Almond Hamma Shehu. Nguroje explained that the suspect, a vigilante, engaged in a fight with the victims over a farm in Bori, Jada LGA. He used his dane gun to shoot them, resulting in their deaths. Emmanuel was arrested for murder and further investigations are ongoing before his court trial.

In a separate incident in May, a land dispute between Paku village of Osun State and Offa-Igbo village in Oyo State led to fatalities and property damage. Farmers in Paku village were attacked by gunmen from Offa-Igbo while harvesting palm kernels, resulting in the death of Al-Ummah College of Education student, Toheeb Adewale, and destruction of houses in Paku village.
