The Labour Party in Lagos State is calling on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to escalate efforts in controlling the spread of cholera, particularly in schools. The State Publicity Secretary, Mrs. Olubunmi Odesanya, expressed concern over the government’s response to the epidemic, urging for more immediate action and emergency measures.
Odesanya emphasized the urgency of the situation, pointing out the rising number of deaths and infections. She criticized the government for issuing inadequate advisories and urged for a more proactive approach to tackle the outbreak effectively.
The Labour Party also stressed the importance of clean water provision, sanitation, and overall environmental hygiene to prevent further escalation of the crisis. Odesanya extended condolences to affected families and encouraged residents to prioritize health and safety precautions.
