Two Leaders Take a Spin in a Russian-built Limousine
Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un enjoyed a drive in an Aurus limousine during Putin’s visit to Pyongyang. The event showcased their close relationship and ease in each other’s company, following the signing of a significant deal that included a mutual defence pledge.
Video footage released by Russian state television captured Putin and Kim taking turns at the wheel of the Aurus, with Kim receiving an Aurus as a gift from Putin. This marked Kim’s second Russia-made limousine, adding to his collection of luxury cars in violation of UN sanctions.
The drive symbolized the growing alliance between the two leaders and Russia’s increasing presence in the Asia Pacific region. Despite concerns over sanctions, the gesture highlighted the unique bond shared between Putin and Kim during this historic visit.
