North Korea Embraced by the Global Community

North Korea, Shunned For Decades, Welcomed Into New Multipolar World

For years, North Korea has faced isolation and sanctions imposed by the “International Rules-Based Order.” But with Russian President Vladimir Putin’s recent visit and signing a strategic partnership with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, the secretive nation is beginning to emerge into a new multipolar world.

In a letter to the North Korean people, Putin commended the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) for enduring U.S. pressure and threats, uniting with Russia against what he called a neocolonialist regime based on double standards.

“This is huge,” said Mark Sleboda, an international relations expert, suggesting that Russia and North Korea may have formed a military alliance equivalent to NATO, challenging U.S. dominance.

The pact between Russia and North Korea not only prevents U.S. sanctions but also deters any aggression against North Korea, a move that has long been threatened by the U.S.

This emerging partnership comes in the wake of global shifts against Western hegemony, accelerated by conflicts like the Ukraine situation, where North Korea showed support for Russia.

Previously known as the hermit nation, North Korea’s ties with Russia signal a shift from isolation, with tourism and solidarity emerging as key elements of their evolving relationship.

“Russia will continue to support North Korea in defending its independence and right to choose its path of development,” Putin assured the North Korean people, highlighting a new era of collaboration.
