Breaking News: Climate activists arrested for defacing private jets at London airport

Two climate activists were apprehended after breaking through a fence at a London airport and painting private jets orange. Essex police detained two women at London Stansted Airport, accusing them of criminal mischief and disruption of national infrastructure.

Just Stop Oil, an environmental group, shared footage of the incident, showing individuals cutting through a security fence and spray-painting planes with orange paint. The airport assured the public that the event posed no danger, occurring three miles away from the main terminal.

The airfield, a frequent hub for government officials and dignitaries like U.S. President Joe Biden, witnessed this act of protest. Although the group claimed Taylor Swift’s jet was among the targets, police denied this allegation. Just Stop Oil’s advocacy efforts have made headlines recently, with activists also recently defacing Stonehenge.
