While the Ministry of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on the matter, Milei is set to receive an International Medal from the head of the Madrid region, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. This decision has raised eyebrows as it goes against existing legislation that requires regional governments to inform central authorities about interactions with foreign leaders.
Despite the tensions, Milei has continued his verbal attacks against Pedro Sánchez and is embarking on a European tour to increase his influence. From Madrid, he will travel to Hamburg and Prague to receive awards from various institutes.
