In a tragic turn of events, a vigilante group leader in Ja’en community, Gwale Local Government Area of Kano State, Mukhtar Baballiya, was stabbed to death during a clash with hoodlums. The Kano State Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that it occurred on Tuesday night. The State Commissioner of Police, Usaini Muhammad Gumel, assured residents that investigations are underway to apprehend the culprits and maintain peace and security in the area.
The clash erupted when Baballiya attempted to intervene in a dispute between rival groups and was fatally stabbed in the process. Despite swift response from police personnel, Baballiya was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. One suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.
