Reckitt restates dedication to hygiene initiatives

Reckitt’s Global CEO, Cris Licht, has reiterated the company’s commitment to Nigeria, emphasizing the significance of its social impact program and hygiene initiatives. Speaking at a Social Impact Stakeholders Dinner in Lagos, Licht stated that access to clean water, hygiene products, and healthcare should be a human right, not a privilege.

The event, attended by dignitaries including Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and British Deputy High Commissioner Jonny Baxter, highlighted Reckitt’s ongoing dedication to public health and hygiene in Nigeria. The collaborative effort needed to address the country’s Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene challenges was underscored by their presence. Sanwo-Olu praised Reckitt’s initiatives, commending the company for educating on hygiene and empowering to create a cleaner environment.

Reckitt aims to reach 10 million school children by 2035, with Sanwo-Olu expressing willingness to support this mission. Licht, responding to Sanwo-Olu’s comments on collaboration, appreciated the government’s acknowledgment and support for their social impact program.
