Clashes between Israel and Hezbollah are escalating as Foreign Policy reported the possibility of a “strategic threat” for Israel in an all-out war scenario. Hezbollah retaliated with a significant rocket assault following the killing of a top commander, prompting fears of a rapid escalation. Israel responded with airstrikes, causing displacement on both sides of the border.
Despite international calls for de-escalation, Israel’s Foreign Minister hinted at the option of going to war with Lebanon. Estimates suggest Hezbollah poses a greater threat than Hamas, with a formidable arsenal of missiles and drones.
