The Kogi State Governor Unveils Community Revolving Fund Loan Disbursement
The Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Ododo, has introduced the Community Revolving Fund (CRF) loan disbursement program, allowing cluster groups of farmers in the state to access $25,000 each. This initiative, facilitated under the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes project in collaboration with the World Bank, aims to address climate change challenges and support community agricultural efforts.
During the unveiling event at the Government House in Lokoja, Governor Ododo emphasized his administration’s commitment to agricultural development. The CRF loan disbursement prioritizes women, with 70% of beneficiaries identified as such, encouraging them to utilize the funds judiciously to support their agricultural endeavors.
Stakeholders, including the State Project Coordinator of ACReSAL and the state Commissioner for Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, commended the Governor for his dedication to supporting the agricultural sector. The beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the prompt payment of salaries and pledged to make the most of the opportunity presented by the CRF loan disbursement.
This significant milestone in Kogi State’s agricultural development journey is expected to have a positive impact on the livelihoods of beneficiaries and the overall agricultural sector.
