Kazakhstan Aiming for 5G Application Completion by End of 2025, Minister Reveals

Welcome to the Future: Kazakhstan’s 5G Revolution

Kazakhstan is set to join the 5G revolution, with plans to complete the introduction of 5G mobile communications by the end of 2025. Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, Zhaslan Madiev, announced this ambitious goal at a recent government meeting. The country’s cellular carriers are expected to invest around 450 billion tenge (almost $980 million) by 2027 to make this vision a reality.

Operators like Kcell and Tele2 are already working to expand 5G coverage in major cities such as Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. With 1,144 base stations already installed in 20 cities, Kazakhstan is well on its way to embracing the lightning-fast speeds and improved connectivity that 5G technology offers.

5G networks are designed to deliver speeds of up to 10 gigabits per second, surpassing the capabilities of 4G technology. With higher bandwidth and the ability to connect more devices, Kazakhstan’s adoption of 5G will revolutionize the quality of Internet services for its population.
