Three sections of the 1,386-km expressway are already operational, making up more than half of the access control road.

Two additional sections of the Delhi-Mumbai expressway, totaling almost 200 kilometers, are set to open within the next six months. The project aims to significantly improve connectivity between key states, including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The initiative, expected to cost around Rs 1 lakh crore, is a major infrastructure development endeavor in India.

Upon completion, the expressway will reduce travel time between Delhi and Mumbai from 24 hours to 12 hours, covering a distance of 1,386 kilometers. The road will offer alternate connectivity to several major cities, enhancing overall transportation in the region.

The project, characterized by its 8-lane configuration with the potential to expand to 12 lanes in the future, is a significant step towards improving transportation efficiency and fostering economic growth in the country.

With the construction phase generating substantial employment opportunities, the Delhi-Mumbai expressway represents a transformative infrastructure project that will have a lasting impact on India’s connectivity landscape.
