Court hears Thomas Dooley sustained multiple wounds.

Tragedy struck in a Co Kerry graveyard when a 42-year-old father-of-seven, Thomas Dooley, lost his life in a fatal altercation. A pathologist revealed that Dooley sustained multiple injuries during the incident, which took place as a woman was being laid to rest.

Six men are currently on trial for the murder at the Central Criminal Court in Cork. The accused include Patrick, Daniel, Thomas Senior, Thomas Junior, Michael Dooley, and a teenage defendant. The trial, now in its third week, heard disturbing details of the injuries inflicted on Thomas Dooley.

State Pathologist Dr. Sally Anne Collis, who conducted the post-mortem examination, highlighted the severity of the wounds. She noted stab wounds, blunt force injuries, and evidence of blood staining on Mr. Dooley’s clothing.

One of the accused, Patrick Dooley, had his white van examined for bloodstains by Garda Alan Crowley. The investigation revealed blood on various parts of the vehicle, linking it to the gruesome incident.

The trial continues with more harrowing details emerging, shedding light on the tragic events that unfolded in the peaceful cemetery.
