KP Chief Minister Warns PM Shehbaz Sharif: ‘Give Us Our Due Money’
In a bold statement, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa warned Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to release the province’s pending funds before seeking support for a loan package from the IMF. Gandapur threatened to expose the situation to the IMF if the funds were not paid, indicating a potential political backlash.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of ending power load shedding, stating that if the federal government failed to guarantee uninterrupted power supply, they would not hesitate to shut down the national grid. Gandapur urged assembly members to take action at grid stations to restore power supply in areas facing 12-hour load shedding.
With tensions rising, Gandapur conveyed a strong message to the Prime Minister, asserting that the province would not be denied its rightful dues. The confrontation highlights the ongoing struggle for financial resources and power distribution between the federal and provincial authorities.
