Armenian Church not involved in these processes

In a bold move, Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan revealed that individuals with no life story are shamelessly bringing their grievances to Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II. The leader of the opposition Tavush for the Homeland movement of Armenia clarified that although the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin supports justice and condemns violence, the Armenian Church itself has no involvement in the movement.

Galstanyan stated that he personally made the decision to suspend his spiritual services after realizing the Church cannot actively engage in politics. He emphasized that the Mother See will determine its stance on the matter, but it is not directly participating in the processes.

Interestingly, the archbishop hinted that he would consider becoming the Prime Minister of Armenia if the people desire it and the Catholicos gives his blessing. He noted that the Patriarch has left the decision in his hands, signaling a potential shift in his role.
