Teen pleads guilty to manslaughter in killing of homeless Toronto man

A teenage girl in Toronto pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of a homeless man, Kenneth Lee, whom police allege was swarmed and stabbed by a group of girls in December 2022. The incident involved eight girls between the ages of 13 and 16, with six of them committed to stand trial on second-degree murder while two faced manslaughter charges.

Another girl had previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and one to assault causing bodily harm and assault with a weapon. A fourth girl was expected to plead guilty but needed more time to decide. She will be back in court to relay her decision.
