Chinese NDU delegation visits Iran’s Army staff college

A delegation led by Lieutenant General Wu Jieming from the National Defense University of China recently visited the University of Command and Staff in Tehran. The purpose was to explore the academic, educational, and research programs offered by the Iranian university.

Brigadier General Hossein Valivand Zamani, the commander of the University of Command and Staff, warmly welcomed the Chinese delegation, emphasizing the strong friendship between Iran and China and the desire to enhance defense and military relationships.

The Iranian commander provided insight into the educational and research activities of the university, highlighting its significant scientific resources for training army officers and armed forces at all levels. He also mentioned the readiness to offer Persian language courses to Chinese military cadets and to initiate student exchange programs.

Lieutenant General Wu expressed enthusiasm for closer collaboration between China and Iran in defense and military sectors. He hoped that the visit to the Iranian Army’s university would positively impact the expansion of bilateral military ties.
