Exciting news in the health sector as Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly plans to introduce a vaccination programme for infants this autumn and winter to combat RSV. The vaccine will be offered to up to 28,000 babies born between September 2024 and February 2025, providing protection for up to 5 months and preventing hospitalizations.

In the education sector, Minister Norma Foley and Minister Hildegarde Naughton are seeking approval to hire 44 therapists to support teachers and children with special educational needs, enhancing the learning experience in classrooms.

Additionally, Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien will present measures at Cabinet to prevent bulk purchases of homes, ensuring that almost 50,000 homes have been safeguarded from such transactions in the past three years.
