Amman – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is actively involved in locating missing pilgrims and facilitating the burial and transportation of the deceased Jordanian pilgrims from Hajj. The Directorate of Operations and Consular Affairs, under Ambassador Sufian Qudah, is coordinating these efforts.

The ministry has issued 41 burial permits for Jordanian pilgrims in Mecca, organized by the Jordanian Consulate General. A crisis cell has been set up to oversee these operations, working in tandem with various Jordanian authorities and missions in Saudi Arabia.

Ambassador Qudah expressed condolences to the families of the deceased pilgrims and acknowledged the support received from Saudi authorities in this process. He urged Jordanian citizens and their families seeking assistance to contact the provided emergency numbers or email address.

The ministry is committed to ensuring the well-being and support of Jordanian pilgrims during the Hajj season, providing 24/7 assistance. Their collaborative efforts are aimed at addressing any issues promptly and efficiently.
