Bullrich had claimed that Hezbollah members were present in Iquique, Chile, and other regions, citing Argentina’s security concerns. Chile’s Interior and Security Minister requested evidence to support these claims. In response, Bullrich apologized to Tohá, clarifying that her comments were part of regional analysis.

Boric announced the end of the diplomatic dispute following Bullrich’s apology. He reiterated Chile’s commitment to combating terrorism and emphasized the need for respect between nations.
