Reports of an assault at Warkworth Institution in Trent Hills, Ont., resulted in two individuals being airlifted to the hospital. The incident, which occurred on June 10 around 8:30 p.m., involved multiple people at the medium-security federal prison.
According to Northumberland OPP, two individuals sustained serious injuries, leading to the dispatch of Ornge air ambulance to transport one person to a local hospital and the other to a Toronto hospital. The OPP’s forensic identification service and crime unit are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
