“Gazan children are being bombed, suffering from malnutrition and facing potential famine and the UK still can’t constrain the Israeli military. It defies belief we’d support this action, our humanity seems to be seeping away.”

The head of Oxfam UK criticizes the British government’s arms sales to Israel, calling it “intellectually and morally incoherent.” Oxfam’s chief executive urges the UK to stop selling arms that contribute to the killing of innocent people in Gaza. Despite ongoing concerns, the UK government continues to issue arms export licenses to Israel.

Global South vs West

Oxfam emphasizes the moral duty to halt weapon sales to Israel, citing past actions by leaders like Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan. The organization challenges the UK government’s decision not to suspend arms exports. The ongoing conflict in Gaza has led to thousands of Palestinian casualties, with a significant impact on women and children.

Ongoing Genocide

The Israeli aggression in Gaza has resulted in a humanitarian crisis, including famine and mass displacement. International organizations condemn the violence, emphasizing the need for immediate action to protect the vulnerable population in Gaza.
