First presidential debate to focus on economic issues

The recent presidential debate in Iran featured six candidates, including Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Masoud Pezeshkian, Amirhossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Alireza Zakani, Saeed Jalili, and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. The main focus of the debate was on economic issues such as inflation control, production growth, and strategies to combat sanctions.

Alireza Zakani highlighted the importance of shifting towards product-oriented and knowledge-based production. He emphasized the role of the private sector as the driving force of the economy and the need to leverage internal capabilities to neutralize sanctions.

Saeed Jalili stressed the significance of proper wealth management for economic growth and the utilization of technology and university resources to enhance the economic situation.

Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the necessity of international interaction and the importance of exporting oil for economic growth.

Other candidates like Mostafa Pourmohammadi, Amirhossein Ghazizadeh Hashemi, and Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also shared their views on economic challenges and proposed solutions during the debate.
