The Solicitor General’s Office is using OpenAI’s GPT-4 to handle its massive backlog
In a groundbreaking move, the Solicitor General’s Office in Brazil has adopted OpenAI’s GPT-4, integrated into Microsoft’s cloud service, to manage its overwhelming load of legal cases.
Microsoft, already a supplier to the AGU, had contracts with over 280 public administration bodies by the end of 2022.
Context. The AGU had been exploring machine learning and document classification algorithms for years, aiming to enhance their document management process. With the emergence of OpenAI, they found a solution that streamlined their workflow.
- After expressing interest in testing the GPT-4 model in early 2023, the AGU was quickly selected along with other organizations to participate in the trial phase.
Super Sapiens. The integration of GPT-4 with Super Sapiens, the AGU’s electronic document manager, marked a significant advancement in managing legal proceedings efficiently.
