Former President Donald Trump mistakenly mixed up the name of his former White House physician while bragging about acing a cognitive test and suggesting President Joe Biden should take one too.
During a speech, Trump confused Dr. Ronny Jackson with “Doc Ronny Johnson,” despite Jackson administering the Montreal Cognitive Assessment to him in 2018.
Trump’s mix-up is not the first time he has confused prominent figures, often attributing wrong names to them. The Biden campaign responded by highlighting Trump’s cognitive lapses, pointing out a CNBC report where CEOs noticed his lack of focus.
Biden’s campaign spokesperson criticized Trump’s coherence and ability to focus, labeling him as unhinged. With Biden being the oldest president, concerns about the mental fitness of both candidates arise, with voters leaning towards viewing it as more of a liability for Biden.
