Russia’s Ongoing Losses in Ukraine
Since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, Russia has suffered significant losses, with 526,310 troops reported dead by Ukraine’s General Staff on June 16. In just the past day, 1,160 Russian soldiers were killed in action.
The devastating toll on Russia also includes the loss of 7,956 tanks, 15,269 armored fighting vehicles, 18,967 vehicles and fuel tanks, 13,913 artillery systems, and more. This includes 853 air defense systems, 359 airplanes, 326 helicopters, 11,159 drones, 28 ships, and one submarine.
Recent developments also highlight Ukraine’s successful military actions, such as the destruction of an entire Russian tank company in Donbas by the 68th Jaeger Brigade. The ongoing conflict continues to shape the landscape of Eastern Europe as Ukraine defends its sovereignty against Russian aggression.
