The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has announced an 11-hour window for aid deliveries into the southern part of Gaza to allow humanitarian aid to be delivered. This initiative involves daily tactical pauses between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm along key routes in the region, coordinated with the UN and aid agencies.
Despite ongoing military operations, the IDF aims to increase humanitarian aid entering Gaza amidst the conflict. The region has experienced a significant drop in aid flow, with over a million Palestinians fleeing Rafah due to recent assaults.
In response to the conflict, the UN has listed the IDF, alongside Hamas and Islamic Jihad, as violators of children’s rights. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz criticized this move, labeling it as anti-Semitic and suggesting it would impact Israel’s relations with the UN.
Additionally, the International Criminal Court (ICC) is seeking arrest warrants for senior Israeli and Hamas leaders, accusing them of causing atrocities. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned these allegations, accusing the ICC of hindering Israel’s defense against terrorism.
Despite the challenges, the IDF remains committed to facilitating humanitarian aid in Gaza, striving to alleviate the impact of the conflict on the Palestinian population.
