Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Army and Armed Forces, Defense Minister, Major Gen. Ali Mahmoud Abbas recently visited military formations in the southern region under the directives of President Bashar al-Assad. He conveyed Eid al-Adha wishes and praised the high morale of the army personnel while inspecting their readiness. Emphasizing the accomplishments in the fight against terrorism, Abbas reiterated the army’s dedication to defending the nation against any threat.
The visit also included a stop at Tishreen Military Hospital to meet with wounded soldiers, extending holiday greetings for good health. Additionally, commanders honored martyrs at cemeteries by laying wreaths and reciting Quranic verses in their memory, representing President al-Assad.
The army personnel reaffirmed their loyalty to the homeland, showcasing their commitment to protecting the nation. Major General Abbas’ inspection of frontline points highlighted the army’s preparedness and determination to face any adversary.
